Wire Rope Mesh Range Expanded to 60 Stainless Steel Specifications from 25mm to 50cm Aperture Sizes

Wire Rope Mesh: A Flexible Answer to Modern Enclosure Design

The wire rope mesh line at Anping Yuhan Metal Wire Mesh has grown to sixty active specifications, covering aperture sizes from 25mm by 25mm up to 50cm by 50cm and wire diameters from 1.2mm to 4.0mm. The product is a hand-assembled stainless steel netting in which each cable is locked with a ferrule or knuckle, producing a flexible panel that holds its diamond or square geometry under tension.

Material Choice: AISI 304 versus AISI 316

Standard production uses AISI 304 and 304L stainless steel for inland and dry-service applications, where cost efficiency matters and corrosion exposure is moderate. For coastal sites, swimming pool halls, marine air and chemical environments, the range shifts to AISI 316 and 316L, which add molybdenum for resistance to chloride attack. Both grades can be supplied black oxidised, natural bright, or PVC coated in colours such as black, green, red and silver.

Why Builders Specify Rope Mesh

  • Flexibility: panels follow curved balustrades, slopes and irregular openings without cutting
  • Transparency: high open area preserves sightlines and daylight compared with rigid mesh
  • Strength to weight: a 2mm cable net carries load far beyond its visual footprint
  • Low maintenance: stainless steel requires no repainting and resists UV degradation
  • Safety: no sharp edges, which matters for schools, hospitals and public atria

Installation Notes

Panels are normally supplied with stainless steel edge cables, tensioning turnbuckles and cross-clamps, so the frame and the net form one structural system. Recommended maximum span between supports for a 2mm cable at 60mm aperture is 8 to 10 metres in vertical infill; wider spans should be split with intermediate posts. Because the net is hand-made, custom panel widths and heights can be produced without tooling cost, and repair of a single damaged section does not require replacing the whole panel.

Ordering Information

Aperture, wire diameter, material grade, surface finish, panel size and edge treatment are the five parameters needed for a quotation. Anping Yuhan exports this range under CE certification and provides mill certificates for each production batch.
